Scholastic Prison

By. Aidan Romo

With systematic seminars

That lock the minds of youth in bars.

Tasks constrain their self-expression

Just lifeless robots in session

With secrets of the world untold,

And others taught with methods old.

Life outside it all: a puzzle

Despite the youth’s zealous hustle

With a pattern of leniency,

Letting young get by easily

No helpful ethic is passed down

In waves of duty, they will drown.

Ignorance within the youth has risen,

Nurtured inside their scholastic prison.
