Who needs this war?
Stupid old men whose their own land is not enough.
To the ones whom their mothers didn't love before
and the salary was always low.
Why did this big country attack its "little brother"?
Were they not taught that
Smaller people should be respected!
But those "small" ones are hundreds of times stronger.
Who said anyway that mean elders should be respected
The ones who think they "raised" us?
They grew up so much that they dreamed of us
stop speaking our language and killing it forever?
You will not kill us, we are like the legendary flower
which is called “burning bush.”
We persevere through all challenges and curses,
because our will does not burn!
They made us live without light.
But it is better to live by candles than with darkness
in thoughts, in dreams, in future.
When a simple sheet of paper is considered a betrayal, so meager, foolish!
What a stupid Great Power that is great only in words,
because in fact everyone knows,
that the country with the chicken on its emblem will not beat the one with trident,
and Ukraine will live forever!
Ukrainian Translation:
Кому потрібна ця війна?
Дурним дідуганам, котрим своя земля мала.
Тому, кого раніше не любила мама
і зарплатня завжди була мала. Чому ж велика ця країна на “брата” свого напада? Не вчили:”
Менших треба поважати!”?
Та ті “малі” сильніше в сотні раз.
Хто взагалі сказав. що старших треба поважати,
і поважати тих, хто нас “ростив”?
Хто так ростив, що мріяв роз’єднати, на віки вічні мову нашу вбить?
Та нас не вбити, ми як квітка,
що зветься Неопалима купина.
Ми вистоїмо через всі виклики й прокльони,
бо воля наша не горить!
Вони зробили так, щоб ми жили без світла.
Та краще жити при свічках, ніж з темнотою у думках,
у снах, майбутньому.
Коли простий листок паперу розцінюється як зрада, така мізерна, блазнювата !
Яка ж дурня Великая держава лише на словах велика,
адже насправді знають всі і так,
що курці не перемогти виделку,
а Україна буде все життя!
